Permanent Strong Soul Covenant: A Dawn Commitment And Sunday Night Spiritual Bath
Purpose: To make spiritual strength a daily way of living, supported by prayer, reflection, and disciplined action.
A covenant is a promise you choose to keep. This practice begins at dawn on your birthday or another personally meaningful day. You then renew it each month and close each week with a simple Sunday night bath.

Part One: Make Your Covenant at Dawn
You need: A bowl of clean water, a white candle, and a journal. An LED candle is a suitable substitute.
- Prepare your space. Wash your hands, set the water beside your journal, and light the candle safely. Sit quietly for a few moments.
- Write your covenant by hand:
“I will keep my soul clean, my hands pure, my words strong, my body disciplined, and my spirit connected to God, nature, and good ancestors.”
- Read it aloud slowly. Think about what each promise asks of you in everyday life. “Clean hands” may mean acting honestly; “strong words” may mean speaking truth without cruelty.
- Pray over the water:
“From today, I walk as a protected soul. My spirit is not for sale. My body is not a doorway for evil. My destiny is covered.”
- Wash your face, hands, chest, and feet with a little of the water. As you do, name one action you will take to honour your covenant.
- Write that action in your journal. It might be setting a boundary, caring for your health, making peace where possible, or completing work you have postponed. Extinguish the candle before leaving the space.
Monthly renewal: On the same calendar date each month, read your covenant and review the action you wrote down. If that date does not occur in a month, use its last day. Write one fresh commitment for the month ahead.
Part Two: Sunday Night Bath for Renewal
Purpose: To release the week’s emotional weight and enter the next one with a clear mind.
When: Each Sunday night, after your usual bath and before bed.
You need: A basin containing about five litres of comfortably warm, clean water. If your skin tolerates it, add one teaspoon of salt as a symbol of cleansing. Plain water works equally well.
- Tidy the bathing area and take your normal bath first.
- Place your hands near the basin and say:
“I release what I do not need to carry. May my thoughts be clear, my conduct be honest, and my steps be steady in the coming week.”
- Stir the water with a clean hand. Pour it gently over your shoulders and body, working downward toward your feet. Keep salt water away from your eyes, face, broken skin, and intimate areas.
- Dry yourself with a clean towel. In your journal, write one burden you are releasing and one practical step you will take this week.
- Let the water drain away normally. Rinse the basin and wipe up any water on the floor.
If salt irritates your skin, use plain water. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from towels and curtains.
This is a personal spiritual practice, not a guaranteed shield against harm. Its lasting strength comes from returning to your promises and living them through your choices, relationships, and care for yourself.
